The first day of Sport Horse Nationals is behind us, and WOW what a great start to the show!

Our stallion ORATION was named National Champion in Arabian Green Working Hunter and in Arabian Open Working Hunter. Michael was in the saddle and this pair just makes it look easy.

We had several riders in a large Half-Arabian/Anglo-Arabian Open Working Hunter, and wound up with everyone getting a callback in the over fences. After the under saddle phase, the scores were compiled and the results announced. All of Tranquillity's entries went Top Ten: SIMPLY IRRISISTIBLE and Alexandria, GERONIMO I with Debbie Bianco, PLAYLANDS IRISH FLASH with Robin Harkins . Then TL FOOLIN AROUND was named Reserve and RSD SMOKIN JO was named Champion, both ridden by Michael. What a great job everyone did!

Lastly was the Open Hunter Hack classes, again with a bunch of our horses and riders. In the Arabian class, ORATION won National Champion again, three in one day!

In the HA/AA, our great team rode beautifully, with everyone getting Top Tens and TL FOOLIN AROUND was named Champion also ridden by Michael.

Day one ribbon count: 5 Champions, 1 Reserve and 6 Top Tens! 

DAY 2 - Today was mostly an Equitation day. ORATION had a preliminary SHUS cut, which he passed.

In Equitation Over Fences, Alexandria was Champion and Robin Harkins won Top Ten; in the Under Saddle, Alexandria was unanimous National Champion, Robin and Debbie Bianco earned Top Tens, in a huge class. Videos are posted on our VIDEO page.

DAY 3 - Today was Adult Amateur Owner day in the Hunter Ring, and a banner day it was!! Debbie Bianco rode her GERONIMO I to National Champion in the Working Hunter - way to go Debbie & Nemo!! To add to that, Robin Harkins and PLAYLAND IRISH FLASH were Reserve Champion!  That's how to do it ladies!

ORATION had a great morning showing in the Open Sport Horse In Hand stallion class, winning National Champion with a score of 84.6 and 74.4!

 

Then came the evening final of Sport Horse Under Saddle Amateur with Alexandria on ORATION. And again, the big guy comes out with Champion..... and it was a unanimous decision! What a great ride these two had.

Three day total: 10 Champions, 3 Reserves and 9 Top Tens. Saturday is jam-packed with more classes for everyone.

The final day has wrapped up at midnight after the final class...and what an exceptional show it was! The day began in the hunter ring for us with the HA/AA Working Hunter for Amateurs. We had 4 horses in this, and everyone was in the Top Ten! Alexandria on TL FOOLIN AROUND went National Champion, GERONIMO I and Debbie Bianco, Alexandria and SIMPY IRRISISTIBLE, and Robin Harkins with PLAYLAND IRISH FLASH were all Top Ten in a big class.

In the middle of all that, Alexandria showed ORATION to a National Champion in Arabian Sport Horse In Hand Stallions Amateur to Handle. She did a terrific job handling him and he scored way ahead of the other entries.

In the Arabian Hunter Hack Amateur, Robin Sellers and SMOOTH SAILING earned a Top Ten in a great class...great ride Robin!

Since everyone had to leave to catch a plane, Jenn Roberts rode SIMPLY IRRISISTIBLE for Alex in the HA/AA Hunter Hack Amateur, and Debbie hopped off of GERONIMO before pinning to leave as well! Then Jenn won Champion and Debbie was named Top Ten...how great all of them did this show!

Later during the evening classes, was the final for he Open Sport Horse Under Saddle, and Michael rode ORATION beautifully! There was a scary incident, when a rider fell and her horse raced around the ring (always nerve-wracking when on a stallion), but ORATION was unfazed. When it was announced that he was National Champion, we were thrilled...even the judges complimented Mike on his horse's temperament.

Last, but by no means least, was the Supreme Sport Horse Championship class. All of the In Hand Champions and Reserves compete head to head for this coveted title. The judges took their time making the decision, and what a thrill when ORATION was named unanimous Supreme! What a fabulous ending to an incredible show for us!

This exceptional stallion won every class he entered, with both a junior and an adult showing him.

Total ribbon count: Supreme Champion, 14 Championships, 3 Reserves and 32 Top Tens!
